Using Studara

What Studara is, and is not

Studara helps you revise and gives you feedback on written answers. It is not your exam board, not your teacher, and not a guarantee of a grade. Nothing here is a substitute for your school, and nothing here is medical or mental-health advice.

The marking can be wrong

Written answers are marked with the help of an AI model against a mark scheme. It is good and it is not infallible. If you think a mark is wrong, it probably is worth challenging — tell us and we will look at it, and we would rather hear about it than have you quietly assume you got something wrong when you did not. We publish how well our marking agrees with human marking, including where it does badly.

Your work is yours

Anything you write, upload or create stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only so we can run the service for you — mark it, schedule it, show it back to you. We do not claim ownership of it and we do not sell it.

Paying, and stopping

If you are under 18

If you are paying for a subscription and you are under 18, check with whoever’s card it is first. If a parent or carer tells us a subscription was taken out without their permission, we will cancel it and refund it.

Ending your account

You can delete your account whenever you like, and we will delete your data as described in the privacy policy. We can suspend an account that is being used to harm other people or to attack the service — if we do, we will tell you why.

When things go wrong

We try hard to keep Studara accurate and available, and we will not pretend it is perfect. We are not liable for a grade you did or did not get. Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot legally be limited — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything written here.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can bring proceedings in your own country.
