Two real ceilings apply, and they apply to everyone equally: a daily limit on live AI generations, and a separate one on lesson illustrations. Both are there to stop a runaway client running up a bill. Neither is an allowance a subscription lifts.
40 lesson illustrations a day
Enforced by reserveImageGeneration() · image_usage_daily
Separate from the text ceiling because image generation is real paid inference, so it can be dialled without touching how much you can study. Also the same for every account.
80 live AI generations a day
Enforced by bumpDailyUsage() · ai_usage_daily
The same for every account. It is a backstop against a runaway client, not an allowance a subscription lifts, and it is generous enough that a real day of studying does not reach it.
That is the complete list. Anything else you may have read here before — sets per month, AI calls per month, live-session hours — was a number in a database column that no part of the product ever read, and it has been deleted rather than restated.
When we do charge
Making these promises before there is revenue attached to breaking them is the only time they are worth anything.
So it is free.
Today, yes, and not as an introductory offer — as a fact about the code. There is no checkout in the product. If you find something asking you for money, that is a bug and we want to hear about it.
What happens when you do start charging?
Everything you have already done stays yours and stays reachable. Your record, your scheduled reviews and your learner model are not the thing being sold, so a price change cannot take them away or pause them.
Will my work be held hostage if I stop paying?
No. Nothing you have earned expires, and the export route that hands back everything we hold exists today, before there is anything to be locked out of.
How would I cancel?
Settings, then cancel, then confirm. Two taps, no exit interview and no retention offer. That route exists and works now, which is the only reason we will say it here.
How would I pay?
PayPal, which also covers cards. That is the only processor wired up and we would rather name it than imply a longer list.
